Candace Gooch Reeves, 62, wife of Richard E. Reeves, died on June 27, 2013.
Candace was born in Clinton, S.C., on July 21, 1950, to Dixie Gooch Goswami and Walter Henry Gooch. She lived for much of her life in McClellanville, S.C., where she was a teacher and principal at Archibald Rutledge Academy and a reading mentor at St. James Santee Elementary. She was an Elder at New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church.
Candace is survived by her husband; daughters, Meredith (Dimitar) Koparova, Sara (Tyrone) Wilson, and Lillian Reeves; five grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Dixie and Bhuvenesh Goswami; siblings, Jim and Richard Gooch, Sara June (Francis) Goldstein, Meri (Bill) Barrioz, Tom (Charlotte) Platt; uncle, Dick (Joan) Reed; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Gooch, Leah Stavish, Lesley Gooch, Katherine (Joe) Boyes, Emily Gooch, Annie Platt, and Matthew Gooch; and extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her father and by her brother, Rocky Gooch.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church in McClellanville.
