Charles Malcolm Roberts husband of Earline Hart Roberts passed on August 19, 2014 at home.

He was born on January 30, 1923 in Greenville County and was the son of the late Thomas Clyde and Myrtle Andrea Roberts. Charles graduated from Mountain View High School and served in the US Army during World War II. Charles received Medals and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he was employed at Southern Bell and retired in 1983. He enjoyed his trips to Daytona Beach with family and friends and loved to play golf . He had his own personal driving range behind his house and taught many to play. Charles traveled to many golf courses and saw the Masters in Augusta, Ga. Charles and Earline loved to travel. Charles was a member of Enoree Baptist Church and Claude Langley Sunday School Class.

Charles enjoyed his family and always let each of us know how much he loved us. He was a great man and we all enjoyed his good nature. We are so proud of him as a father and his devotion to Earline his wife.

Surviving are his 3 daughters , Joyce Robertson of Ormond Beach, FL., Susan Landrum (Donnie) of Houston, TX, Kay Roberts of Mansfield, GA. and one son, Charles L. Roberts of Corpus Christi, TX.

Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Tony Robertson, Charles E. Roberts, Lauren Booth, Andrea Booth, Paul Burch III and Christina (Jeremiah) Bowen; four great grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Lindsey, Stone, and Malachia; one great great granddaughter, Faelyn; and three sisters, Frances Forbes, Betty Vaughn, and Evelyn Williams.

Charles is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held at The Howze Mortuary in Travelers Rest on Friday from 6 - 8 pm.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11:00am at Enoree Baptist Church.

Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the St. Francis Hospice Foundation, Greenville, SC.
