Frances J. Rish


Frances Jones Rish, widow of L. Emanuel (Manny) Rish, died June 5, 2014.

She was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church and was active in church organizations. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Teachers' Society International. She was a former member of The United Federation of Doll Collectors and The Greenville Christian Writers Workshop. She was a public school teacher for 30 ½ years. After her retirement she was an antiques dealer and a speaker for Christian Women's Club of America.

Mrs. Rish was the daughter of the late J. Odell and Burdell Chandler Jones. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Witt and Hazel Crain.

Surviving are her three daughters, Joy Rish, Kim Higdon (Burrell), and Melanie Mustin; eight grandchildren, Chad Mustin, James Higdon, Michelle Higdon, Jake Mustin, Daniel Higdon, Jodiannah Rish, Callie Mustin and Olivia Rish; a brother, Arlon Jones (Sue); and a sister, Colleen Truett.

Funeral services will be at Taylors First Baptist Church Chapel on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m., conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be at the home on Sunday.
