Richard Cooley

Richard Steel Cooley, 64, of 107 Washington Church Road, husband of Debbie Lynn Chapman Cooley, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home.

Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late William and Minnie Lee Cooley. A U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a former employee of Cryovac and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Kendra Lynn Cooley, of the home; son, Jeffrey Steel Cooley, of Moonville; sisters, Ann Thompson (L. W.) and Jean Howard, both of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Charlie Cooley (Ellen), of Pelzer, of Pelzer, Joe Cooley (Becky), of Belton, and Carroll Cooley (Pat), of CT; and grandchildren, Luke and Ray Rosemond, Alana and Ashton Cooley.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:30 Friday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Washington Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 880 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Suites 1A & F, Greenville, SC 29607.
