Ronald Blair Houck

Greenville

Ronald Blair Houck, 91, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014.

Born in Warriors Mark, PA, he was a son of the late Earl and Mildred Houck. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Evelyn Houck, who passed away November 1, 2009, and a brother, James E. Houck. He is survived by three sisters, Reverend Joan Houck, Caroline Lenker and Betty Knepley.

Ronald worked for JP Stevens in Quality Control for 40 years at Monaghan, Dunean, Greer, and Corporate. He was a veteran of the US Army Corps in WWII and a member of Monaghan Baptist Church.

In addition to his sisters, he is survived by sons, Ron Houck (Frances) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Tom Houck (Beth), and a daughter, Sherry Wynn (Pete), both of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of Tom Houck.
