Sam Dando "Santo" Liguoro
Sam Dando "Santo" Liguoro, of Easley, formerly of Bridgeport, CT, died Monday, October 7, 2013.
Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Natal and Annunziata Rescenti Liguoro.
Sam retired from the US Marines and served in WWII. He fell in love with California, where he received a Master's Degree in Business from UCLA and was a member Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens. He loved golf.
He is survived by a daughter, Natalie Lage and husband, Alvaro of Easley; grandchildren, Valdir Moura Lage and fiancée, Debra Dane, of Liberty and Valdemir Santo Lage and wife, Kandace, of Liberty; and great grandchildren, Isabella Rose Lage and Sophia Ann Lage.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Angelina Ellero and niece, Maria Ellero.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Catholic Church of St. Luke. Burial will follow in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 558 Hampton Avenue, Pickens, SC 29671.
