Stephen A. "Junior" Forrester, 87, died January 5, at The Cottages at Brushy Creek.

A native of Greer, son of the late Stephen A. Forrester, Sr., and Ruth Pollard Forrester, he was a retired appliance repairman for Mutual Home Stores after 35 years, a US Army WWII Veteran who received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Recipient and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was former Commander of the Greer Chapter 39 of the DAV.

Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Bull (Mickey) of Taylors; one son, Steve A. Forrester, III of Greer; one sister, Susie Smith of Travelers Rest and two grandchildren, Mickey Bull, Jr., (Julie) and Sherwin Bull (Wanda).

Mr. Forrester was predeceased by several brothers and sisters and one grandson, Ronald Adam Bull.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Mrs. Dottie Bryson and Chaplain Ralph May. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Honorary escort will be Willing Workers Sunday School class of Greer First Baptist Church and the members of the Greer Chapter 39 of the DAV.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Wood Mortuary.

The families are at their respective homes.
