Thomas Aubrey Hudson, 91, has passed from this world to his new and better home with our Lord Jesus.

Tom was the son of the late E.K. Hudson, Sr and Nellie Burley Hudson, born in Greenville, SC. He retired from J.P. Stevens Watts Plant after 45 years of service.

Tom was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church and served in various roles during his decades of membership.

Tom was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, who is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Joyce Sims Hudson, grandson, John Cody Hudson of Mauldin, one brother, Jimmy (Buddy) Hudson of Laurens, one sister in law, Lena Hudson of Greenwood, a daughter in law Kathy Hoffman of Mauldin, Grandchildren Andrew Woods of Comer GA, and Dr. Misty Woods-Corcoran of Hillsborough, NC.

Tom was preceded in death by a son Johnny Hudson, and 6 brothers and sisters; E. K. Hudson, Jr, Viola Ivey, Elizabeth Riddle, Tracy Hudson, Thelma Hardy - Tom's Twin Sister, and Mary Anne Neal.

Tom Was a World War II Veteran who loved his country. During the war Tom was stationed in Africa and Italy. He was the recipient of multiple medals for his service, including The Purple Heart.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will be at the home and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary from 7:00-8:30 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
