Thomas Larry "Tommy" Holcombe, 66, husband of Joyce Beasley Holcombe, went home to be with The Lord, Sunday, February 23, 2014.

Tommy was born in Greenville County, a son of the late Russell Thomas and Gladys Lucille Crane Holcombe. Tommy was retired from Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He was formerly employed with Coca Cola of Greenville as a sales representative. Tommy was a 1997 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA.

Tommy was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, where he formerly taught the college and career Sunday school class. He was always interested in the young people of the church and he formerly served as youth director at Cedar Rock Baptist Church. He was a former member of The Pickens Kiwanis Club, where he served as inaugural president.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Joyce B. Holcombe of the home, and his brother, Sam Holcombe (Peggy) of Easley. Nieces and nephews include, Sally Chavous (Jon) of Fredericksburg, VA, Morgan Bell of Greenville, Justin Beasley (Leigh) of Piedmont, Kellie Thompson (Tom) of Williamston, and Jamie Brazeale of Greenville; great-nieces and nephews, Gray Beasley, Carolina Chavous, Emma Claire Thompson, Hayden Thompson, and Ellie Ford Beasley.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley with The Reverend Doctor David Gallamore and The Reverend Doctor Bobby Caldwell officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens in Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the church.

The Escort of Honor will be members of Inspiration Sunday School Class from Rock Springs Baptist Church, and funeral director colleagues.
