Vernon Ray LeFevre, 83, former husband of Martha Sue LeFevre, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012.

Born in Farmersville, TX, he was the son of the late Luther and Ethel LeFevre.

Ray joined the United States Air Force at the age of 18 and retired 20 years later as a Sr. Master Sergeant. He then went to work for the United States Post Office from which he retired after 21 years of service. He was a faithful member of Edgewood Church of Christ for over 40 years.

A beloved Father and "Popie", he is survived by a daughter, Cindy Harris, and her husband, Sid; a granddaughter, Danielle Harris, and her fiance, Bob; and a great granddaughter, Addison Rae all of Greenville; two sisters, Nelda Hauerwas, and Shirley Southard, both of TX; a brother in law, Arthur Howell, and his wife, Faye; and a sister in law, Doris Howell, all of Greenville.

He was preceded in death by his step mother, Mildred LeFevre; and a brother, Lewis LeFevre.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown and will be followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will take place at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the , 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

The Family will be at the residence.
