Karren A. Olson
Karren A. Olson passed away on Jan. 22, 2014. After a long and courageous fight against breast cancer.
She was born on Aug. 22, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho, the oldest daughter of John J. Ashton and Clea M.
Ashton. She was raised in Smithfield, Utah. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister and loving mother.
She married Jerry D. Olson on Sept. 6, 1956. They moved to Salt Lake and had 4 children. In 1974 they moved to Renton, Wash. where they continued to raise their children and she became a retail sales clerk for J.C. Penneys.
In 1988 Jerry and her moved to Spokane, Wash. She worked as a bowling league coordinator and coach. In 2006 they retired and moved back to Utah. Last year they returned to Wash. to be with their children. She loved being a member of the LDS church, sewing, arts and crafts, quilting, gardening, bowling, dancing and all of her many friends.
Memorial Services will be held in conjunction with her mother's funeral, Clea Coburn, on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 12 p.m. at the Smithfield 14th Ward, 79 E. 200 South, Smithfield. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com
