Charles J. Haws, age 82 of Kewaunee died on Tuesday, June, 11, 2013 at the Kewaunee Care Center. He was born on May 30, 1931 in Two Rivers to the late Charles and Rose (Nocker) Haws.

Charles served in the U. S. Army in Korea during the Korean war. He then farmed in West Kewaunee and also worked at Hamilton Mfg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.

Survivors include three daughters and three sons-in-law: Linda and Brad Rosik, Denmark; Diane and Steve Giudice, Kewaunee; Jean Ducat and Nick, Kewaunee; six grandchildren: Jason (Lora) Kinjerski; Joshua (Lori) Kinjerski; Lindsey (fiancé, Bryan) Giudice; Michelle Ducat (Tom); Dustin (Shelly) Ducat and Derek (Laura) Ducat and nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Delores Schultz, Tisch Mills; Margaret Meissner, Two Rivers one brother and sister-in-law: Allen and Janet Haws, Two Rivers. He was preceded in death by one grandson: Brandon Giudice and one sister: Lorraine Franz.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. American Legion services will be held at 6:30 p.m. and a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at St. Hedwig Church, East Krok after 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in the parish cemetery.
