Sladkey, James J.

James J. Sladkey, age 82, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday morning, January 12, 2014 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

James was born on December 22, 1931 in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Theckla (Goetzler) Sladkey. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. James then attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy as well as a Masters of Bacteriology. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Counsel #710.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, Manitowoc, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Over the past 15 years he enjoyed attending monthly outings with the 50's Lincoln Boys Club.
