Kornely, JoAnn (nee Chada) Of Milwaukee went to meet the Lord at the age of 67 December 7, 2012 after a long battle with breast cancer, as well as bone and brain cancer. JoAnn was the beloved wife of Glenn Kornely for 47 years. She was the loving mother of Camie Kornely (husband Miguel Heredia), Tiffany (Jaime) Danko, and Tara (Paul) Bachmann and proud grandmother of Cristian Kornely-Heredia, Tyler and Austin Danko, and Jacob and Alivia Bachmann. She is survived by her sisters Carol (Karl) Bubolz, MaryJo (James) Bielinski, Lisa (Paul) Schaetz, brother Charles (Judy) Chada, brother in law Robert (Ruth) Kornely, mother in law Pauline Kornely and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her father and mother Arnold and Esther Chada, brother in law Willard Behnke, father in law Raymond Kornely, twin granddaughters Abigail and Amanda Danko, great nephew Landon Bielinski, as well as grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The Kornely family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Oncology for their care and support.

JoAnn was born on June 22, 1945 to Esther and Arnold Chada in Manitowoc and lived in Bolt, WI through high school. Graduating from Denmark High School in 1963 she went on to Silver Lake College for a degree in education. She commenced her life-long passion for education in a two room school house in Two Creeks, WI. She later moved to Milwaukee and earned her master's degree with classes at Cardinal Stritch and UW-Milwaukee. She retired after 33 years of service from the Milwaukee Public School system. She was a professional educator serving on committees with the National Education Association, Wisconsin Education Association, and Milwaukee Teachers Education Association and received a Teacher of the Year Award in 2007. Upon retiring in 2007 she continued to instill her passion for learning with her grandchildren. JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and going on camping trips with friends and family. She was a devout and faithful member of Loving Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. The Kornely family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Oncology for their care and support.

Visitation Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 4PM - 7PM at Zwaska Funeral Home, 4900 W. Bradley Rd. Brown Deer, WI 53223. Visitation continues at church on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 11AM- 12Noon with Services at 12Noon at LOVING SHEPHERD EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3909 W. Clinton Ave., Milwaukee WI 53209. Procession to follow to Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Loving Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
