Allison, Julie T.
Julie T. Allison, age 53, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life late Monday evening, July 14, 2014 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, WI.
Julie was born on June 25, 1961 in Manitowoc, WI. She was the daughter of Dona Rosinsky August Stevens and the late Roger A. Terens. Julie was a high school graduate in Fort Pierce, Florida. While living in Oklahoma Julie owned several commercial cleaning services. She later moved to South Carolina where she became involved in the food and beverage service industry and in more recent years she owned and operated Backtrack's Pub and Grill in Columbia, SC. While living in Columbia, Julie was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Approximately six years ago Julie and her daughter Zeelie moved back to Manitowoc where she has resided since. On September 25, 1992 she married Colonel Oscar Allison Jr. in Columbia, South Carolina. He preceded her in death. Julie was active with the local AA Club in Manitowoc where she served on the board of directors.
She is survived by her daughter: Zeelie Clair Allison, at home; her mother: Dona Stevens, Manitowoc, WI; stepmother: Faye Terens, Manitowoc, WI; stepfather: John Schaetz, Green Bay, WI; four brothers and three sisters: Randolph A. (Saralie) Terens, Manitowoc, WI; Kim Marie McNeil, Manitowoc, WI; Nicholas A. Terens and partner, Rosedale, WI; Jan A. Terens, South Carolina; Daniel L. Terens, Wisconsin; Rosemarie (Shane) Thompson, Cato, WI; Amy Jo Terens and fiance' Paul Batt, Manitowoc, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Roger Terens; husband: Colonel Oscar Allison Jr.; brother: Christopher Terens; nephew: Nathan Terens; niece: Katie Erwin; bother-in-law: Arthur McNeil.
A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. At 3:30 p.m. there will be a time of remembrance and prayer with family and friends led by Rev. Roger Harrison. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
