Moreau, Orland F.

Orland F. Moreau, age 92, a Manitowoc resident died on Monday morning, March 31, 2014 at Manitowoc Health and Rehab.

Orland was born to the late Felix and Evelyn (Austin) Moreau on May 12, 1921 in Algoma. In September of 1942 Orland joined the U.S. Army, serving until January of 1946. On March 24, 1943 he married Agnes Stezenski at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Kewaunee. Together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. Agnes preceded him in death on July 30, 1997. Orland was employed at Eck Industries for many years, retiring on May 31, 1984. He was an active member at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc as well as the Manitowoc Senior Center and the DAV. Orland was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his three children and their spouses: Michael and Darlene Moreau, Watertown, Dennis and Diana Moreau, Two Rivers and Marcia and Roy Kortbein, Mishicot; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Jason) Guslick, Germantown, Jeffrey Moreau (fiancé Tara Turner), Milwaukee, Donald (Jennifer) Moreau, Oak Creek, Dwayne Moreau (special friend Pam), Two Rivers, Jessica (Jacob) Turk, Two Rivers, Jeremy Kortbein (special friend Tanya), Two Rivers and Thomas Kortbein, Appleton; three great grandchildren: Riley Guslick, Nicole Moreau and Kaden Moreau; one special god-child: Patricia (Vernon) Olson, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law: Dale and Rita Moreau, Sheboygan; one sister and brother-in-law: Judith and Harold Sheahan, Collinsville, IL and one sister-in-law: Joanne Abramovich, Green Bay. Orland is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson: Daryl Moreau; twin granddaughters: Cindy and Mindy Kortbein; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Cecelia and Joseph Vross, Ruth and Harvey Peterson and Evelyn and Bernard Reed, Sr.; two brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Rhoda Moreau and Felix and Leona Moreau, Jr.; two sisters-in-law: Joan (Julius) Lipsky and Cecilia (Bernard) Miller; one brother-in-law: David (Dorothy) Abramovich; two brothers-in-law: Joseph Abramovich and Pat A. Abramovich; and two nephews: Jim Peterson and Larry Lipsky.

Funeral services for Orland will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave, Manitowoc). Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dave Pleier. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659 following the services. Entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.
