Bachert, Robert D.

Robert Dale Bachert, beloved son, husband, father and grandfather, entered eternal rest on May 7, 2014. He was 84. Son of Ralph and Dorothy Bachert, he grew up in Savoy and Champaign Illinois. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. Afterwards, he attended Radiology school in Springfield, where he met and married the love of his life, Judith Clem. The two worked together at Carl Clinic in Champaign Urbana, before moving to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where they lived and worked for over 25 years, raising a family. He served as Director of Radiology at Mercy Medical Center, before later moving to Manitowoc to serve as Supervisor of Radiology. He has three sons: John, Douglas and Alan.

He will be remembered for his leadership and community and charitable work as a member and past president of the Oshkosh Jaycees, working for MDA, Cerebral Palsy, Miss Oshkosh and Miss Wisconsin pageants, his support of various religious charities, his incredible hard work, sacrifice and devotion as a beloved and loving son, husband and father and his strong abiding faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful wife, Judith and their beloved son, John, and survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Douglas and Veronica Bachert and Alan Bachert; and grandsons Joshua and Nicholas.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Graveside Services were held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
