Krueger, Sally A.
Sally A. Krueger, age 96, a resident at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation North Ridge, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation North Ridge.
Sally was born on April 18, 1917 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Josephine O'Neill Stebens. Sally was a graduate of Tomah High School with the class of 1935. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1935 to 1936 and then at the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology located in Green Bay graduating in 1939. Sally was employed as a nursing assistant at Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc for eight years and then became employed at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc from where she retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she served as a greeter, communion distributor and sponsor for confirmation. Sally was a volunteer at the Tamarack Behavioral Health Care as a charter member of S.A.R.C. Program, first aid instructor for the local chapter of the American Red Cross, teaching classes to the department heads of the Manitowoc Company, Two Rivers Police Department, Manitowoc County Teachers Assoc. She was a chaplain for eight years for the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans Chapter #659.
She is survived by two sons: Noel Krueger, Whitelaw, WI and special friend Karen Karbowski, Two Rivers, WI; Gregory Krueger, Manitowoc, WI; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law: Nancy Jane Krueger, Green Bay, WI; one sister: Hertha Seybold, Englewood, FL; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three sons: Joel, Karl, and John Krueger, one brother, one sister and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, WI. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m.
