Haucke, Stuart L.

Stuart Leon Haucke, 84, passed away on August 22, 2014 at Rennes Rehabilitation Center in DePere, Wisconsin.

He was born September 13, 1929 in Algoma, Wisconsin. He was the eldest of ten children of Leon and Ethel (Rockwell) Haucke. He served in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired from the army after 20 and one half years. He then worked as an inspector for the department of Army for an additional thirty years. He and his wife Hilda took over the Empire restaurant from his parents in 1970 through 1976. Stuart's passion was fishing, the outdoors and wildlife. He fished the oceans of the world and many lakes and rivers in-between. He was an avid cribbage player.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Hilda; three daughters: Linda and Charles Kalinosky, and their children: Jamie, Nathan Charles (Megan) Kalinosky, Morgan and special friend Jordan, Alexandra and special friend Adam; Brigit Haucke and special friend, Donny Wester, and her children: Ashley Narten and Brittany (Andre) Hogan; Sandra and Shane Phillips, and her children: Skyler Keith (Michelle) Dukes, Ian and special friend Karyssa and Bridgette Henry; one son: James Stuart Haucke and special friend Michelle Thomas, and his son: Bryar James (Lauren) Haucke. He is further survived by 11 great grandchildren: Aniyah, Gavin, Logan, Vaasco, Tiago, Trinity, Andre Sky, Iniko, Aiden, Landon and Sophia; brothers: Lee Haucke, Mike (Ann) Haucke and sisters: Gail Haucke, Jane (Don) Kinzel, Kay (Bob) Knutson, Margaret (Glade) Hill, Mary Stein and special friend, Steve. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Mary Ethel, his parents, brothers: Neal and Dean, sister-in-law: Joanie Haucke and two great nephews: Kurt and Kraig Kinzel.

In respect of Stuarts wishes cremation will take place with burial of his cremated remains to take place at a later date.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street Two Rivers, Wisconsin, 54241. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with military honors accorded immediately following the service by members of American Legion Post #165 and V.F.W. Post #1248 of Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Stuart's life will take place in the Behringer Room at the Two Rivers community house on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 from 1 to 3 pm.
