News Death Notice
BAKER, Earl age 87, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. He was born April 21, 2013 in Perry County, KY to Lilly and Vina (McKinney) Baker. He served our country during WWII in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He was a tool and die maker for Aeronca for 36 years, retiring in 1988. Earl was a member of Tytus Avenue First Church of God. He was an avid sport fan, especially University of Kentucky. He was a dedicated veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Earl Baker; brothers, Harrison and Clarence Baker; sisters, Edna Chapman, Myra Sizemore and Goldie Baker. Earl is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geneva M. Baker; children, Connie Hahn, Joshua M. Baker both of Middletown; grandchild, Myra J. Hahn; great-grandchildren, Michael D. Baker, Addison L. Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Greg Wallace officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
