News Death Notice

RIDDLE, Kenneth Gordon beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, age 84, of Trenton, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Kenneth was born November 27, 1929 to Beulah (Sorrell) and Commie Riddle in Bath County, Kentucky. He graduated from Owingsville High School in 1948, and served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1952 to 1953, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He married Mayme Sue Richardson on October 3, 1953. They moved to Ohio in 1955. He retired from the Black Clawson Company in 1996 after more than 40 years of service. Kenneth attended the Yankee Road First Church of God, and served as a Sunday school teacher, church bus driver, treasurer, secretary, and board chairman. Preceding him in death were his parents and a daughter, Wanda Riddle Helsinger. He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Mayme Sue Riddle; one son, Jeff Riddle (Terri Dearworth); two daughters, Roslyn (Don) Imhoff and Shelley Alexander; two grandsons, David (Liz) Imhoff and Owen Alexander; two granddaughters, Susan (David) Cook and Carson Alexander; one great-grandson, Cameron Cook; two great-granddaughters, Natalie Imhoff and Kylee Cook; one brother, James (Janice) Riddle; three sisters, Bertha Mitchell, Myra (Billy) Toy and Mary Peace; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Yankee Road First Church of God, 3029 Yankee Road, Middletown, followed by services at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Collins officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio, with military honors by Middletown Combined Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yankee Road First Church of God Building Fund, 3029 Yankee Road, Middletown, Ohio 45044. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S.
