CICCARELLI, Albert "Chick"
Albert "Chick" Ciccarelli, 81, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 55 years of Marie Antoinette (Montecalvo) Ciccarelli, died peacefully, Sunday (July 22, 2012) at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Hartford on August 28, 1930, he was the son of the late Romolo and Clementina (Porzio) Ciccarelli. Albert was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from Pratt & Whitney in 1993. He loved bus rides to the casinos and having breakfast at The Wethersfield Diner, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his five devoted children and their spouses, Michael Ciccarelli and his wife Anne Gobes of West Hartford, Maryann and Nicola Ficocelli of Newington, Linda and Bill Oberstadt of Newington, Richard and Tracey Ciccarelli of Burlington and Joann and Roberto Caires of Newington; ten grandchildren, Maria Folan and her husband Matty, Mario Ficocelli, Ryan, Matt and Daniel Oberstadt, Brandon and Austin Caires, and Michael and Olivia Ciccarelli, three step-grandchildren, Samantha, Michael and James Arcata; his brother, Frank Ciccarelli and his wife Nellie of New Britain; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony Machulskis of West Hartford, Gerald and Josephine Benedetto of Newington, and Peter and Toni Montecalvo of Windsor Locks and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Machulskis and Lena and Mark Ciarciello. Albert's family would like to thank Dr. David Casey, Dr. Matthew Carley, DaVita of Rocky Hill, especially Marlene and Heidi, and the Palliative Medicine staff at the Hartford Hospital Conklin Building for their care and compassion.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
