Anthony B. BADON Obituary

BADON, Anthony B.

Anthony B. Badon, 84, of Plainville, died Saturday, (December 1, 2012) at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain General. Anthony was born in New Britain, and was the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Kulesa) Badon. He proudly worked as a Machinist for Stanley Works for forty-five years. Anthony served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a native of New Britain, graduate of New Britain High School and a resident of Plainville, for forty years. Anthony is survived by his teenage sweetheart and beloved wife of sixty years, Mary (Baroni) Badon, his twin brother, Francis Badon and his wife Bruna, all of Plainville, his brother Edward Badon of Wallingford, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ada Baroni, Gino Baroni and his wife Holly, Bruno Baroni and his wife Josephine, all of New Britain, and Joyce Baroni of Farmington. Anthony was predeceased by his three sisters, Stephanie Krystopa, Mary Barnes and Helen Buratti, his brother-in-law, Albert Baroni, Sr. and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Josephine Baroni. While Anthony never had any children, he considered his twenty-two nieces and nephews as his own. Although he will be greatly missed, his spirit will live on in all those who were touched by his kindness and genuine smile. His enthusiastic outlook and fun-loving personality were loved by all. Anthony's most cherished times were those spent with his wife, Mary, and his family who meant the world to him. Anthony enjoyed weekly dinners with his wife at Angelico's Restaurant, New Britain, and loved UCONN basketball games, sharing stories with his family and could never resist a good joke.
