Daniel E. LYNCH Jr. Obituary

Daniel E. Lynch, Jr., Esq. of Simsbury, died suddenly on Sunday (November 10, 2013). Dan was born on February 12, 1960 to Daniel E. Lynch, Sr., Esq. and Alice Walsh Lynch. He attended Northwest Catholic High School and graduated from Providence College, Summa Cum Laude in 1982. He went on to earn his JD from Western New England School of Law and his LLM in tax law from New York University. Dan met the love of his life, Amy Randall Lynch, at Old Lyme Shores and Northwest Catholic. Danny and Amy have been inseparable since they were 16 years old - a fairytale love story of 37 years. Danny and Amy married in 1986 and were blessed with three children: Daniel Warren Lynch, 23, currently of Danbury, Kathleen Casey Lynch, 21 a senior at Providence College; and Amy Margaret Lynch, 16, a junior at Simsbury High School. Dan was the embodiment of the term "family man". Although always available for others, his most treasured time was with his family - coaching, playing hoops, golfing, boating, biking, or just watching sports and funny movies. He cherished every moment he spent with Amy and the kids. Danny was unfailingly devoted to God, family and friends. He was a loving and extraordinary husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and friend. Dan was universally loved and admired and was the constant Rock for his large extended family and for so many friends. Dan's charm, sense of humor and integrity were unparalleled. He humbly used his countless gifts to help others manage the seemingly unmanageable. His infectious and generous spirit left everyone he met blessed to have been in his presence. He was a dedicated and longtime parishioner at St. Timothy's Church and an exceptionally brilliant and caring attorney who was dedicated to his clients. In addition to his wife and children, Dan is survived by his parents, of West Hartford; his sister Susan Lynch Galeota and fiancé Michael Giliberto of West Hartford; his sister Patricia Fagan, MD and husband Christopher Fagan, Esq. of Farmington; and his brother Kevin W. Lynch, of West Hartford. Dan was a brother to each of his brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence J. Neureither, DDS and Mary E. Randall, DMD of Simsbury, CT; Margaret R. Brodeur, Esq. and Christopher Brodeur of Glastonbury; Patricia R. Taylor and John Taylor of West Hartford; and Christine R. Collins, Esq. and Matt Collins of West Hartford, and he had a special relationship with each of his 19 nieces and nephews. There are no words to express the cavernous void created by Dan's passing. Anyone who knew Dan must be saddened by his death, and yet there is a joy to accompany that sorrow- the rare joy occasioned by a life of such excellence and by reflection on what its reward must be. The family will receive friends on Friday November 15, 2013, from 4-8 p.m., at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday November 16, 2013, at St. Timothy Church. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of St. Timothy or Loaves & Fishes Ministries Inc., 646 Prospect Ave., Hartford, CT 06105. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.molloyfuneralhome.com.
