He was the son of the late Karol and Josephine (Swietek) Wcislo of Poland. After moving to the United States at age 12, George graduated from Trinity College, the University of Connecticut Medical School, and completed his residency at the University of Michigan. In addition to his wife, George leaves a son, Steven D. Wislo of New York, NY, a daughter Valerie P. He also leaves two nieces and their husbands, Cynthia and Christopher McHugh of Glastonbury, Stefanie and Vinnie Giarratara of Wethersfield and a nephew and his wife Mark and Lisa Aglieco of Glastonbury. Dr. Wislo's family extends special thanks to his many friends at St. Francis Hospital, most notably his colleagues in the Radiology Department, where he worked for 34 years.
