WALLACE, Jacqueline (Wilson)

Jacqueline (Wilson) Wallace, 61, of Hartford, died peacefully on Friday, (May 17, 2013), at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 27, 1951, in Chrew, SC, the daughter of Julia (Patrick) Wilson and the late Henry Wilson. Jacqueline was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. She worked for The Aetna, UPS, the United States Postal Service, North East Utilities and Bank of America. Jacqueline was a friendly, outgoing and charismatic woman who gave tirelessly of herself to others. She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics, Big Brothers & Big Sisters Sponsor, and walked for Breast Cancer. She enjoyed working in her garden with flowers and vegetables. Along with her mother Julia; she leaves two daughters, Rechelle Wallace of Hartford and Shayla Wallace of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Leroy Wilson and his wife Leslie of Windsor, Robert Patrick Wilson and his wife Eva of Bloomfield and Stevie Wilson and his wife Kathy of Hartford; three sisters, Patricia McCall and her husband Peter Diaz of E. Hartford, Gladys Jones and her husband James of W. Hartford and Julie Bell and her husband Donald of SC; a goddaughter, Journee Freeman, and a host of other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Michael C. Wilson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, 11 a.m., at the Sanctuary of Faith and Glory, Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, East St., Windsor. Her family will receive friends from 11-12 Noon on Thursday, prior to the service at the Sanctuary of Faith & Glory Church, 752 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor.
