COOK, Marion F.

Marion F. Cook, 81, of Conyers, GA, formerly of Vernon and Enfield, CT, passed peacefully from this life on October 17, 2013 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Marion was born in Garfield, NJ on November 7, 1931 to Bruno and Helen Janosky. Marion graduated from Garfield High School in 1948 and went on to become a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp from which she was honorably discharged in 1953. She is survived by her five children, Virginia (Ginny) Cabana and son-in-law George of Conyers, GA; Jayne Bahler and son-in-law Lloyd of Tolland, CT; Jon S. Cook Jr. of Enfield, CT; Ingrid Goodenow and son-in-law Larry of Somers, CT; and Judy Labas and son-in-law Mark of Tierra Verde, FL; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Sophie I. Kirby of Florida. She is also survived by her two brothers and one sister, Henry Janosky and wife Sue of Georgia; Larry Janosky and wife Betty of New Jersey; Vivian Fletcher (Robert, deceased) of North Carolina; and by Marion's former husband Jon S. Cook, Sr., and wife Janet of Florida. Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Helen Janosky, a nephew Bobby Janosky, and a granddaughter Allison Rae Goodenow.
