CAMPBELL, Mary J.

Mary (Janowski) Campbell, 65, of Manchester, formerly of East Hartford, beloved wife of 44 years to Dennis S. Campbell peacefully passed away on Tuesday, (September 17, 2013) after a brief illness. Mary was born on September 3, 1948 in Cavendish, VT, daughter of the late Joseph and Arlene (Burt) Janowski. She had been a resident of East Hartford for several years before moving to Manchester in 1989. Mary was a graduate of Northampton Junior College in Massachusetts where she earned her degree in Secretarial Sciences. She was formerly employed with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and more recently with the State of Connecticut for over 22 years, retiring in 2008 as a Fiscal Administrative Assistant. Mary enjoyed scrapbooking, taking her Saturday trips all over New England with her beloved Dennis and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be remembered by her smile, her contagious laughter, and her unconditional kindness to anyone she met. Mary was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband she is survived by her two daughters; Kimberly A. Campbell and her two children Zachary B. Campbell and Angelina N. Campbell all of Manchester, Kristin M. Campbell of Manchester, three sisters; Ginny Raymond and her husband, Frank of Grafton, VT, Stephanie Agard and her husband, John of West Rutland, VT and Christina Lyle of Exeter, NH, several nieces and nephews and her treasured cat, Baby. Mary was predeceased by her cherished nephew, Nicholas Agard and her brother-in-law, Stephen Lyle.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at the Manchester Elks Lodge, 30 Bissell St. Manchester. There are no calling hours. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, 901 East Street NW, Suite 405 Washington, DC 20004.
