Patricia Ann Lynch Obituary

Patricia Ann Lynch, 87, of New Britain, died Monday (March 31, 2014) at Southington Health Care Center in Southington. She was born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Michael J. Lynch Jr., and Anna (Hallinan) Lynch. She attended St. Mary School, Mount St. Mary Academy and graduated from Teachers College of Connecticut (now CCSU) in New Britain. She received her Master's Degree from Fairfield University. Pat was employed by the New Britain Board of Education as an Elementary School Teacher for 40 years working at Lincoln, Holmes and Northend Elementary Schools. She was an active member of St Francis of Assisi Church since its founding, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Parish Council member and Lector. Upon her retirement, Pat was a volunteer at the St. Francis of Assisi Middle School. Surviving is a nephew, Christopher Lynch and his wife Janet, and their son Patrick of East Hartford; a niece Ann Marie Anop and her husband Peter and their children, Alicia and Timothy of Southington; a nephew, Michael Lynch and his wife Tracy of Glastonbury; and very special Frederick cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, John (Hal) and Lorraine K. Lynch. Pat was a woman of great faith and was an important part of the lives of her nephews, niece, great nephews and great niece. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley Street, New Britain, CT 06053 on Friday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.
