Patrick W. Falletti Jr. Obituary

Patrick W. Falletti, Jr., 88 of Windsor, beloved husband of the late Ruth (Bonan) Falletti, passed away Sun., Aug. 3, 2014. He was born in Hartford on Feb. 9, 1926, son of the late Patrick and Rose (Coron) Falletti, and settled in Windsor with his wife and family in 1962. During World War II, Patrick honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps and later received his bachelor's degree in education from the University of Hartford. During the 1980s Patrick was the Assistant to Hartford Mayor George Athanson and retired as a DCYF Representative for the State of Connecticut. He embodied the elegance and charm from a bygone era and shared a special romance with his wife Ruth whom he married in 1943. Lovingly called "Pa" by everyone he touched, Patrick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who made special efforts to spend quality time with his family. He leaves three sons, Richard Falletti and Kenneth Falletti and his wife Diana, both of Brewster, MA and Donald Falletti and his wife Cheryl of Windsor; a daughter, Karen Cahill of Windsor; a brother, William Falletti of Ashford; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and dear friends. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Falletti and his infant twins, Barbara and Patrick. His family will receive friends on Fri. from 4-7 p.m. at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., in Windsor. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m., Sat. to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church in Windsor. Burial with military honors will immediately follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
