KOCOR, Raymond Joseph

Raymond Joseph Kocor, 88, beloved husband of Dolores (Teixeira) Kocor, passed away on September 10, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born in Fall River, MA, January 4, 1925, a son of the late William and Barbara (Stephanic) Kocor. Ray served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II, he was an honored recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He was employed for many years by and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his great sense of humor, and ability to make anyone laugh. Ray will be dearly missed by his wife Dolores, and their children; sons Steven Kocor of Coventry, Raymond Kocor Jr., of FL; daughters Sandra Wilson and her husband Cowan of AL, Kim Cooks and her husband Scott of SC, Penny Barry and her husband Bryan of NC; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 12-2 p.m. at the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108, followed immediately by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Services will conclude with Military Honors, all to take place at the funeral home.
