BAIN, Raymond M.

Raymond M. Bain, 86, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Marie (Lafleur) Bain, passed away peacefully on Saturday (March 16, 2013) surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Montreal, Canada, a son of the late Jacques and Bertha (Gaumont) Bain. Raymond was a loving husband, father and grandfather who leaves a legacy of caring, compassion, hard work ethic and respect for all. He was a proud Veteran, serving in the United States Army during World War II under General Patton. He worked for many years and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his loving wife Marie, Raymond is survived by his children, daughter Maria Lotas of East Hartford, and son Charles Bain of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two grandchildren Katherine Votino and her husband John of Southington, Patricia McCarthy and her husband Sean of Manchester; and three great-grandchildren, Molly and Emily Votino and Olivia McCarthy. The family would like to thank the Hospice team members from Hartford Hospital, who took such good care of their cherished Raymond.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 22, 2013, 11 a.m. at St. Christopher's Roman Catholic Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the CT State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. There are no calling hours.
