Steven A. Archambault Obituary

Steven Archambault, 57, of Irasburg, VT, died on February 24 after a nearly three year struggle with cancer. He was born in Hartford, CT and grew up in East Hartford, CT. He graduated from Howell Cheney Technical High School and received an Associate's Degree in Art, Humanities & Social Science from Clinton Community College in NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army separating at the rank of E-5. Afterwards, he followed in his father's footsteps and became a Master electrician and avid fisherman. He is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Bonnie Stone of Irasburg, VT and her family. He leaves two children, Kevin Archambault, SSgt, USAF and his wife, Marisa, of Vacaville, CA and his daughter, Karisa Archambault, of Honolulu, HI; and his three sisters, Linda Gosselin of Coventry, VT, Diane Archambault of East Hartford, CT, and Louise Pisarski and her husband, Paul, of South Glastonbury, CT. He also leaves five nephews, Danny & Eddie Gosselin of VT, Michael Aukstolis and Adam & Ryan Pisarski of CT; his aunts, Estelle LaPolice of Quebec and Loretta Turenne of Florida, along with many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest & Cecile Archambault of East Hartford, CT, his brother-in-law, Roger Gosselin, and many aunts, uncles and several cousins. The Archambault family would like to thank all those who have supported Steve through his illness, especially Bonnie Stone and her family, and Robert Kelley, of Bob's Electric Sevice, where he worked. We would also like to thank all the charities and fundraisers performed on his behalf, specifically, the Mary Wright Halo Foundation, the Ethan Allen Orleans factory workers, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. There will be calling hours at 10 a.m. before the service. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 1 at Curtis-Britch Funeral Home in Island Pond, VT at 11 a.m. and a Christian burial will take place in Newport, VT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Mary Wright Halo Foundation, 1071 Upper Quarry Road, Newport, VT 05855.
