AGAWAM - Wayne H. Bell, 94 of Cardinal Drive died Thursday surrounded by his wife and caregivers. Wayne was born in Waynesburg, PA and lived in Columbus, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, and Windsor Locks, CT for 40 years before moving to Agawam two years ago. For many years he was an Aeronautical Engineer for Westinghouse and retired from Combustion Engineering. A member of Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor Locks, Wayne also served in the United States Navy during World War II. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Velma (Coleman) Bell; his sister-in-law Kathy Stafford and brother-in-law Orville Coleman of Ontario, Canada; dear friends Ed, Amy and Edward Cyran of Agawam; and many nieces and nephews in Canada. The funeral will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 470 Elm Street, Windsor Locks, CT on Thursday at Noon, with Pastor Duane Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. Visiting hours at the church will be held prior to the funeral on Thursday from 11:00am - Noon. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 470 Elm St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
