He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps stationed in Sarasota, FL where he met and married Veronica, a Manchester, CT native. He spent his career as a teacher and principal in several schools in Manchester including Robertson, Nathan Hale and Verplanck where the school library is named in his honor. He is survived by his loving daughters and sons-in-law, Colby Freeman and Peter Meisinger, and Dana and William McCarthy. He was predeceased by Veronica's parents, Ralph and Mary Aceto and her siblings Russell Aceto and Joanne (Gene) Rossi. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of Guardian Angels, A Caring Hand, Vitas Hospice and White Oaks who so lovingly cared for him for several months.
