Bro. Floyd C. McElveen


Bro. Floyd C. McElveen, 88, of Petal, died April 27, 2014, at Perry County Nursing Home. Services will be on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Moore Funeral Chapel in Petal, followed by burial in Osyka Cemetery.

A man of God, Bro. McElveen devoted his entire life to serving God as a missionary to Alaska, National Evangelist, Baptist minister and Christian author. He has over 2 million books in print. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Petal MS.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia McElveen.

He is survived by three sons, Greg McElveen of Kingston, TN, Rocky (Sharon) McElveen of Rocklin, CA and Randy (Cathie) McElveen of Caldwell, ID; one daughter, Ginger (Bob) Hammons of Kingston, TN; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
