Knox L. Chain

Green Forest, Arkansas

Knox L. Chain, age 91, of Green Forest, Ark. passed away July 8, 2012. Graveside services will be at 9:00 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at Roseland Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Rutland, David Skaggs, Bill Allen, Gary Chain, Jimmy Chain and Charlie Chain.

Knox was born August 25, 1920 in Mt. Olive to the late Zollie Chain and Leva (Allen) Chain. He was united in marriage to Agnes E. Eubanks and to this union two children were born. He proudly served his country for over 20 years in the U.S. Army during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Knox enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. After retiring from the service he owned and operated Artic Chain Plumbing and Heating Company in Anchorage, Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Chain, three sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by his two sons, Terry Chain and wife, Brenda, of Green Forest and Knox C. "Tony" Chain of Lake Ozark, MO; one sister, Billie Dean Rutland of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Anthony Chain, Travis Chain, Trina Voss, Taralynn Mikschl; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. Memorials donations may be directed to the Salvation Army.
