Mr. Vernon will be missed greatly. He was a wonderful man. He was my dad's best friend. He treated us like his own children. After my dad passed he remained a very dear friend to my mom. I will always remember that heavenly divinity and those dumplings. Rest in peace. Praying that God will give the family comfort during this time.

It has really been wonderful having Vernon as a neighbor and friend the past many years. Strahan Street won't be the same without seeing Vernon sitting on his porch, raising his hand in a big wave and with a big smile saying "Hi". We will miss you, Vernon.
