HARRINGTON Gerald T. Harrington III of Marathon, Fl. passed away on Oct. 14, 2013 at his home after a battle with cancer. Jerry grew up in Wickford, R.I. where he enjoyed skiing and fishing, which were very important to him. He had a commercial lobster boat, the "MELISICA" and a retail lobster shop there. He moved to Marathon, FL. in 1990, where he became a commercial fishing captain. Recently he was employed by Home Depot. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Julie Walker (Kingsley) Harrington; his mother, Sonia Reed; his two daughters in R.I., Melissa Carrier (husband Matt and daughter Grace) and Jessica Harrington; brother Daniel; and three sisters Diana (husband Robert) Bibeault; Kathleen (husband Michael) Brown, and Laura (husband Michael) Faggella; a step-daughter, Shawnee (husband Jim) Pepper and their two sons; and Jim Walker - his father-in-law and best friend. He was the son of the late Gerald T. Harrington, Jr. of Marathon. Following Jerry's wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration Of Life at a later date is to be announced.
