In loving memory of Leon Senders, 90, who passed away Thursday, July 18 in Hollywood, FL. He leaves behind Brenda Senders, his dedicated wife of 66 years, his two daughters Rita and Cherri, his son Stanley and his six grandchildren. He was so very proud of his whole "mishpochah." Leon was a valiant and courageous fighter against Nazi oppression in the Russian underground during WWII. He was a loving and caring husband and father who came to America with his bride and 2-yr daughter and built a wonderful life from the ashes of post-war Europe. He loved life, puns, jokes, skiing, boating and more and provided well for his family in Washington, DC before retiring to Florida. A funeral service was held July 21. His body was interred at Lakeside Memorial Park in Miami. Donations in his honor can be made to the Jewish Partisans Educational Foundation at www.jewishpartisans.org, memo: "In memory of Leon Senders, a courageous partisan." We love you daddy!
