Tew, Mamie Ophelia, (nee Clements) passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 95 in Miami, Florida. She was born November 28, 1918 in Macon, Georgia. Her family moved to Fort Meyers, Florida, where her father, Allen Clements, was city attorney. After graduation from Fort Meyers High School in 1939 she married Cornelius "Cotton" Tew while he was a student at the University of Florida. She and Cotton moved to Miami where they raised three children, Tom, Jeff and Mamie and had a long and happy marriage until Cotton's death in 2005. Mamie O. is survived by her son Jeff, daughter Mamie, four grandchildren Spencer Tew, Kristina Tew, Jennifer Temenski, Melanie Carpenter and two great grandchildren Spencer Michael Tew and Lily Carpenter.
