Dan Austin Andress, 65, died in Klamath Falls, Ore., Aug. 6, 2014. A service of tribute will be in the Klamath Tribute Center Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow with interment at Eternal Hills Mausoleum. Dan was born July 7, 1949, to Corrine Andress in Klamath Falls. He also was raised in Klamath Falls and joined the Army after high school. For many years, he worked as manager for Specialized and Fleet Pride truck parts in Medford, Ore., Sparks, Nev., and Klamath Falls. He retired in 2010. He enjoyed everything about cars. This passion translated into a membership in the Klamath Cruisers and a lifelong love of NASCAR. To pair with a love of cars, he had an ear for the rhythms of the blues as well as a passion for lighthouses and the ocean. He is survived by his adoring family, siblings, David Lee and his wife, Judy Morton, and their children, Jacob, Jesse and Joel and Thomas Andress and his wife, Janet; daughter, Dana Massey and her children, Chelsea and Cheyenne; son, Dan Scott and his children, Ian and Zachary; step-children, Sabrina Rios and her children, Devin, Jesse and Kaysi and Rick Van Griethuysen and his wife, Carrie, and their children, Cassie, Savannah, Mckenzie and Parker; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan had many friends he also considered to be his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Corrine Andress; and siblings, Nancy Beck and Norman Lee. Eternal Hills Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
