Donald Record Workman, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away March 4, 2014, at the age of 93. He was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Bloomfield, Ind. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific for four years during World War II. After his discharge, he started his career with various title insurance companies. He worked in title insurance for 60 years until his retirement. Mr. Workman was an accomplished fisherman and bowler his entire life. In his retirement years, he and his wife Betty enjoyed traveling, which included several cruises. He is survived by Betty, his wife of 51 years; son, Patrick Workman and his wife, Sandra; daughter, Darnell F. Roemer and her husband, Steve; step-daughter Melodee Spiker, and her husband, LeRoy; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and step-son, Roy Scott. At his request, no formal funeral services will be held. Donations may be made in his name to the .
