George Merrill Grubb went home to be with his Lord Feb. 28, 2014, after a short illness. Private interment will be Thursday, March 6, at Eagle Point National Cemetery, with full military honors. A public memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, in Shasta Way Christian Church with a potluck reception to follow. George was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George A. and Dorothy (Schwartz) Grubb. He graduated high school in Idaho Falls in 1955. In 1956, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and spent more than 20 years serving our country. After his retirement in 1976, he moved back to Klamath Falls and worked for Klamath Falls City School District, the Klamath County School District, and Basin Transit Service. After that, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Grubb was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John F. Grubb; first wife, Joann (Foster) Grubb; second wife, Carol (Wycoff) Grubb; granddaughter, Jennifer Grubb and step-son, Chad Wycoff. Survivors include his children, James Grubb and family of Anderson, S.C., John and Jeanne Ann Grubb and family of Klamath Falls, Julie and Kenneth Gregg and family of Galt, Calif., and Janelle McCully and family of Klamath Falls; step-son, Charlie Wycoff of Klamath Falls; special friends, Doreen Chase of Klamath Falls, Margaret Peterson of West Jordan, Utah; sister, Belle Beam of Swan Valley, Idaho; sister-in-law, Shirley Grubb of Walla Walla, Wash.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of George Grubb may be made to Klamath County
