James Willis Camidge, 78, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, at his residence in Bonanza, Ore., with family by his side. James was born to Willis and Eva (Mitchell) Camidge Jan. 13, 1936, in New Bremen, N.Y. He was primarily raised in Croghan, N.Y. He attended Beaver River Central School in Beaver Falls, N.Y., where he graduated. He attended Northrup Institute of Technology and received a diploma Dec. 15, 1961, and graduated with a bachelor's degree March 29, 1963. James joined the Air Force in 1955 and was honorably discharged in October 1963. While working at Boeing Vertol Division, he met and married Anna Lee Schwartzengraber. They were married June 20, 1964. James was employed at Avco Lycoming and moved in 1976 to Oregon, where he became a carpenter. He loved motorcycles and was active in the Langell Valley Community Church and a member of the NRA. James is survived by his wife, Anna Lee of Bonanza; sons, Terry (Sarah) of Fairview, Ore., Allen of Redmond, Ore., and Brad (Bethany) of Bonanza; daughter, Tammy Brigham of Clear Lake, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Eva; sister, Jean Regelmann and granddaughters, Kayla and Emily Camidge. Graveside services will be Friday, June 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Bonanza Community Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at 3:30 p.m. in Langell Valley Community Church.
