Jimmy "Taco" Marez
Jimmy "Taco" Marez passed away Jan. 27, 2014, at his Klamath Falls home.
He was born Dec. 22, 1943, in Johnstown, Colo., to Raymond and Mary Marez. The family lived in Clovis, N.M., and moved to Oregon in 1978.
Jimmy served in the Army and Army National Guard and received an honorable discharge. He was always hardworking and dedicated over 20 years of service as a welder for Jeld-Wen.
Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing and playing pool. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Marez of Albuquerque, N.M.; son, Ronnie Marez (Darlene) of Clovis; daughter, Pearl Navarro of Chiloquin, Ore.; son, Stephen Marez of Spokane, Wash.; son, Ryan Smith of Klamath Falls; brother, Steve Marez of Bismark, Mo.; sister, Sally Rigler of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Carmen Sizemore of Colorado Springs; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Marez, and his siblings, Josie Davalos, Lee Marez, and Gilbert Marez.
A memorial mass service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, in Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, directors, now at 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97601, 541-883-3458, which is in charge of arrangements.
