Rollie H. Knaggs, 79, born in Toledo, Ohio, to Earl and Lucille Knaggs, passed away March 11, 2014. Rollie worked in the automotive business all his life, including working for Subaru as a service manager when the company first came to the U.S. After moving his family to Klamath Falls in 1973, he opened a gas station and auto shop on East Main Street. After working in a few positions around town, he opened Rollie's Auto and Truck Service off Washburn Way, where he met many of the people who knew him in Klamath Falls. He always said that Oct. 12 was an important date in his life. That is the day he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, was honorably discharged from the Marines, got married, opened Rollie's Auto and Truck Service and even one of his great-grandchildren was born on that date. Of course, they happened in different years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping and golfing. He took his family on many trips all over the U.S., including a couple of cross-country ones when moving from California to New Jersey, and then finally moving to Oregon to stay. Rollie leaves behind his wife, Fran; his sons and daughters-in-law, Rollie and Janelle Knaggs and Kirk and Tami Knaggs; granddaughters, Holly and Heather, along with their husbands, Jeff and Chris; grandsons, Daniel and Josh; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Sherie as well as his parents and all siblings except his sister, Earlene. At his request, no services will be held. We'd love to have all of his friends join his family in a celebration of life gathering at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, even if you can just stop by for a minute. Please call 541-281-0606 for details.
