Clara Josephine (Stadler) Bowman

Clara Bowman passed away April 8, 2013 in San Mateo, California.
She was born on November 12, 1926 in Miles City, Montana and moved with her family to Alderwood Manor, Washington in 1928. Clara attended Alderwood Grade School and graduated from Edmonds High School in 1945 and the University of Washington School of Nursing in 1951.
She spent her first years of nursing in Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA and New York, NY returning to San Francisco in 1960 making the city her permanent home. She married Harry Bowman in 1965 and they made their home on Greenwich Street where they could see the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from their rooftop patio. Clara was a nurse for 45 years, retiring from Children's Hospital in San Francisco as an administrator.
Her husband, Harry Bowman preceded her in death in October of 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Katie and Emil Stadler; brothers, Emil and Fred Stadler; and sisters, Agnes Barnhill and
Margaret Power.
She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Wallace,
Dorothy Frohlich; brother, Karl (Marlene) Stadler; and sister-in-laws, Virginia Stadler, Ida Stadler, and
Clarissa Dyer. She will be remembered fondly by all her nieces and nephews.
