James Mitchell, age 65, passed away surrounded by family, in his home on March 26, 2014. James was born May 19, 1948 to Joe and Toni Mitchell. James grew up working for his Dad at English's Ice Cream on Hewitt Ave in Everett. He graduated from Everett High School's class of 1966. James began working in the insurance industry in 1969, and won numerous Insurance Industry awards. He was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Christ the King Church in Bellingham, and the Bellingham Elks Lodge 194. James was also a member and past president of both NW Business Club and the Washington Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and was the author of "Customer Service...Your Key to Success". James enjoyed outdoor gardening, golfing, boating the San Juan's, vacationing with his family and traveling, especially to Hawaii. James is survived by his wife, Dianne Mitchell; daughters, Katherine Carey, Debbie Kirsch Manson and Chris Kirsch-Martin; sons, Joey Mitchell, Jeff Hammond, Joe Kirsch and Randy Wilson; sister, Merrilie Howard, 16 grandkids and 10.5 great- grandkids. There will be a celebration of Life at Bellingham Christ the King on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
