James Sailand Boggs passed away peacefully at his home in Marysville, Wash. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 surrounded by his wife, Donna of 59 years and his "girls." Jim was born in St Paul, Minn. on June 26, 1931 to Harold and Olga Boggs. The family moved to Seattle in the 1930's and he attended grade school and high school in Seattle until he joined the US Marine Corps, serving in the Korean Conflict from 1950-53. Upon his return he graduated from Broadway High School in Seattle; married Donna Jean Crum, and enrolled at the University of Washington. After earning a BA in Business, Jim worked for the Boeing Company in engineering and planning and worked the Minuteman, 747, and other projects. Upon his retirement from the Boeing Company in 1995, Jim built his dream home overlooking the bay. He loved the beach and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; three daughters, Terry, Tracy, and Tammy; his son-in-law, Roger Crawford; grandsons, Jim and Michael Crawford; and niece, Jamie Berg. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Hilton Pharmacy, Providence Hospice and Home Care and Care Force agents, Robyn and Tiffany for their professionalism, dedication and support.
